As a Founding Engineer at Ropes, you'll be instrumental in building and scaling our technical assessment platform during a period of significant growth. You'll work directly with our core team in Union Square, NYC, shipping features that directly impact how companies evaluate engineering talent.
What We're Looking For
- Experience building and shipping full-stack web applications in production
- Strong foundation in React, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL
- Interest in or experience with LLMs and AI systems
- Track record of taking ownership and driving projects from concept to completion
- Comfort with ambiguity and excitement about wearing multiple hats
- Passion for our mission of making technical hiring more equitable and effective
Engineering Intern (Summer 2025)
As an Engineering Intern at Ropes, you'll be working directly with our core team in Union Square, NYC, contributing to features that directly impact how companies evaluate engineering talent. You'll learn full-stack development while tackling meaningful problems in the technical hiring space.
What we're looking for
- Strong computer science fundamentals from coursework or personal projects
- Experience with web development basics (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
- Interest in learning React, TypeScript, and SQL
- Curiosity about AI/LLMs and their applications
- Self-starter mentality with eagerness to learn and contribute
